Bio

Zion Rain is a Miami and Los Angeles-based actress and writer, raised in a multicultural home with Middle Eastern, Colombian, French, and Moroccan heritage. She began formal acting training at eleven, though her connection to the craft began much earlier after seeing a production of The Diary of Anne Frank at a local Miami theater. She remembers being moved by the actress onstage without yet understanding what acting was. She only knew that she wanted to create that feeling for someone else.

Since then, Zion has trained in scene study, audition technique, cold reading, movement, and commercial work through a variety of classes and workshops with coaches including Mark Tillman, Ani Avetyan, Ricki Maslar, Mark Fincannon, Ellen Jacoby, and others. She has studied extensively with Shawn Caulin Young and continues to work with him in on-camera acting. Her screen credits include Amazon's Ultimate Invasion, alongside theatre and short-film work. In 2026, Zion will continue her training in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), studying On-Camera Acting and Script Analysis.

Zion gravitates toward stories that feel raw, truthful, and deeply human. She is drawn to stories that make you feel deeply, whether they leave you laughing, crying, or somehow doing both at once. She loves the way stories can make us feel seen and understood while also allowing us to experience lives and perspectives different from our own.

She is excited by the opportunity to explore all kinds of characters and worlds, and values the freedom to continually surprise herself through the work. Zion's approach to acting is rooted in vulnerability. She believes actors have the unique privilege of revealing the parts of ourselves that we might otherwise be afraid to show. Her goal is to be as open and honest as possible, even when it feels uncomfortable, so that someone watching can recognize something of themselves in the character and feel a little less alone.

Outside of acting, Zion is a novelist and avid reader with a particular weakness for romantasy, fantasy, rom-coms, and stories about life and love. She is a passionate vegan cook and baker, a longtime matcha enthusiast, aspiring French speaker, beginner boxer, and surfer, and loves painting, drawing, and styling clothes. She can talk for hours about Taylor Swift lyrics, Throne of Glass, or the emotional devastation of a really good movie.
